Victor Greco, AIA, appointed to WV Archives and History Commission
WHEELING, WV 12 September, 2007 – Victor Greco, AIA, was appointed by West Virginia Gov. Joe Manchin III to the West Virginia Archives and History Commission. The commission serves as a citizen advisory board to the state's Division of Culture and History.
Specific activities of the commission include providing guidance to the commissioner and agency directors in the establishment of state plans for the Archives and History Section, the Historic Preservation Section and the Museum Section; approving and distributing grants-in-aid awards from federal and state funds; encouraging and promoting the purposes of the agency; approving rules concerning the professional policies and functions of the agency; and advising and consenting to the appointment of agency directors by the commissioner. The commission also reviews and approves nominations to the National Register of Historic Places. (Source: www.wvculture.org)
