This neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) was renovated one room at a time with the facility in continuous use.  SMG Architects designed an environment that is more respectful of patients and families, and less stressful for staff.  Acoustics were re-engineered, lighting was replaced and workspaces were reconfigured to reduce clutter.
