SMG Architects was hired to prepare a Historic Structures Report for the National Park Service.  This cantilevered, fore-bay bank barn is located at Antietam National Battlefield and pre-dates the American Civil War.  Preservation is the likely treatment for the heavy timber structure, retaining as much of the historic fabric as possible for later interpretation.
