Anthony Machowski, AIA and Peter Doo, AIA join the firm, creating Schamu Machowski Doo & Associates (SMDA Architects), adding research laboratory and institutional work, diversifying the firm’s capabilities and expanding in size to 20 employees. The office moves to a larger space at 1001 Cathedral Street, Baltimore. |

The firm opens a branch office in Wheeling, West Virginia, led by Victor Greco, AIA. The Wheeling office provides academic, healthcare, institutional, commercial and residential design for clients in West Virginia, western Maryland and Ohio. |
